June 10:

Arrive at OR Tambo International airport. After touchdown, you will take a safe, indoor walk right to the City Lodge Hotel, giving you the time to rest after your international travel. Depending on the group’s arrival times, we can all meet in the lobby for a meet-and-greet and dinner (not-included in package price).

June 11:

In the morning after breakfast (price non-inclusive), we will travel into the greater Kruger Biosphere into a private game reserve. Our first evening’s stay will be at the brand new Leopard’s Bend Bush Lodge, a private, off-the-grid, solar powered rustic yet luxurious bush lodge where the key focus is on the guest experience. Surrounded by Kenyan fencing, the bush lodge is made up of 5 en-suite chalets, partly bricks and partly canvas, allowing one to feel closer to nature. Each chalet features a bathroom with indoor and outdoor shower and bedroom with a sliding door opening onto a small covered patio where one can enjoy the sights, smells and sounds of the bush from your doorstep. A plunge pool, sun deck with chaise lounges and private breakaway areas are available for guests to enjoy while relaxing in the lodge.

After lunch, we will head out on our first exciting afternoon safari drive!

June 12-14:

On the morning of the 12th, we will wake early in the morning for breakfast and a safari drive. We will then head further into the bush as we transfer to Siviti Luxury Safari Lodge. Set alongside the banks of the Timbavati river, you will enjoy private views of curious and thirsty animals, specifically elephants, whether overlooking the main deck rim-flow pool or from the shaded waters of your private plunge pool.

We will enjoy early morning and sunset views on your two daily safaris. Throughout the time here, you will be educated on matters most impactful to the endangered species on the ground, the surrounding communities and also the impact of tourism, The group will exclusively join conservation teams on the ground to experience rhino conservation, hands-on, where your safari will directly impact the work you are doing. Your visit to the local, surrounding communities will impact them directly, as your visit will contribute to their daily needs list, as supported by the reserve.

Botswana

Chobe Game Reserve Safari

Makgadikgadi Salt Pans

June 15-18:

In the morning after breakfast, we will transfer back to Johannesburg to connect to your international flight to Botswana. After arrival, we will check in to Elephant Sands Eco Camp .

Your luxury accommodation is just a stone throw away from the famous Chobe River, where you will do your first wildlife excursion on a private boat into the Chobe National Park, seeing hippo, elephant and buffalos up-close from the river. An early start to your next day, as you venture into the Chobe National Park on an open safari vehicle to find the famous Botswana lions and various other species, previously seen from the water the day before. After check out you will head south for a late afternoon with elephants, a up close you will never forget. Our private, tented lodge for the night is tucked away in the semi arid surrounds, while we reflect the days events around the camp fire. The next day is a landscape overload as you head to the Makgadikgadi Salt pans, so big it’s visible from space, for a 1000-star-night under the African sky, sleeping out on a bed roll, while the staff cooks hearty meal on the fire. (*toilet facilities are provided). The following evening will be spent back at Elephant Sands Eco Camp.

Zimbabwe

Victoria Falls

Zambezi National Park

June 19-21:

Upon arrival in Victoria Falls, there will be time to relax and refresh, as we prepare for an afternoon cruise on the Mighty Zambezi river, accompanied by sunset drinks and music onboard. Exploring one of Africas largest rivers, will again confirm the shear size of the natural resources on show, giving a small view into what the first explorers might have felt. Dinner is special as you immerse into African culture and cuisine, all while participating in the traditional drumming of African drums. The next day is a slow start, allowing for a sleep-in and breakfast, before you head off for a tour of the famous Victoria Falls. Lunch will be accompanied with one of Africa’s best views. We will venture into the Zambezi National park and check in to Mbano Manor for another safari excursion and join a team on the gourd for another impact on the conservation efforts.

June 22:

Upon conclusion of our three night stay, we will transfer to Vic Falls International, connecting us to our flights home from Johannesburg.
